Dr.Rashed received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Medical college of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University (USA) in 1996. He has passed both parts of the American dental National Boards. Dr.Rashed has also passed all the required examinations and practical tests (NERB) that are needed to practice in the USA. He has a Pennsylvania license since May, 2000. He then completed an internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Hospital. Dr. Rashed completed both Master and Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh (USA) in 2002 with highest honor. He is also American Board certified and diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

He has served in the Ministry of Health for more than 12 years and was the Head of Orthodontic Unit in Bneid Al-Gar Specialized Dental Center. Dr.Rashed is the past President of Kuwait Orthodontic Society. He is also the Course Coordinator of the MGDS of the Royal College of Surgeons Residency Program.

Dr. Rashed has been fortunate to learn from many incredible teachers and experts worldwide (USA, UK, South Korea, Japan, and India) throughout his career and loves sharing his passion for Orthodontics with the next generation of dentists and orthodontists. Dr.Rashed is now a fulltime Assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of Kuwait University where he teaches and supervises dental students in their cases and research projects. Dr. Bokhadhoor received her Bachelor of Arts degree as well as Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 2000 in a combined BA/DDS program from the University of Missouri Kansas City.

From 2000-2002, she practiced general dentistry for the Ministry of Health- Kuwait.

In 2002, she received her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontics and Oral Biology (CAGS) as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry (v). In 2005, Boston University awarded Dr. Bokhadhoor Ruben Award for Clinical and Academic Excellence.

In 2006, Dr. Bokhadhoor completed a one year fellowship program in Implant Dentistry at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Bokhadhoor joined Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education Dubai where she acted as the program director for the Periodontology program. In June 2009, she joined Bayan dental.

Dr. Bokhadhoor is currently an adjunct assistant professor at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bokhadhoor is actively involved in the postdoctoral program at Boston University giving continuing education courses, presentations and lectures.

Dr. Bokhadhoor is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Bokhadhoor has co-authored journal articles and books and has presented extensively in the dental community both in Dubai and in the States.

Dr. Bokhadhoor is the first Kuwaiti female dentist to graduate from the United States. She is also the only Kuwaiti female dentist carrying the credentials she has.

Currently, Dr. Marafie is a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and a member of the American College of Prosthodontists. He has published three scientific and research papers in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and also contributed in publishing a chapter in the "textbook of complete dentures".
